Ex chief selector Sandeep Patil stirred hornet’s nest when he made the following statement to a leading news channel, “Virat Kohli fans might not like it but I have to say Rohit Sharma is currently the better batsman. Virat is definitely a great batsman, no doubt about it. He is India's best Test batsman but when it comes to limited overs cricket, Rohit is ahead of him."

This statement went viral & all the cricket aficionados who just can’t get enough of this Kohli Vs Sharma comparison, seem to battle it out on every social media platform to prove who is better. However, critics opined that Sharma is talented but an inconsistent player when compared to Virat. More trivia and challenges on Virat & Rohit on FanKick entertainment app.

Kismein kitna hai dum?

Much to the dismay of the critics, both Virat & Rohit have been in top form in 2017. Co-incidentally, Rohit recently hit his 3rd double century in the ODIs when he lead Team India to a series win against Sri Lanka. Rohit was leading the side in absence of Virat who took a break to get married to Anushka Sharma.

Rohit continued his golden streak with bat in T20 against the Lankans. He hit an outstanding century in just 35 balls as India whitewashed Sri Lankans in T20 series. Interestingly Virat and Rohit both have hit 11 centuries in 50 over format since 2015. However, Rohit took just 46 matches to reach the milestone and Virat played 56 matches to hit those centuries.

But hold your horses people as Kohli leads the race with 2822 runs while Rohit has hit 2672 runs in the same period. Such type of comparisons are not new to Cricket, how can we forget the classic comparison of Sachin Tendulkar with Rahul Dravid & Sunil Gavaskar?
